Essential IFA

I am Peter Herd, Professional Financial Adviser and Managing Director of Essential IFA, a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. There are eight professional bodies recognised by the Financial Services Authority to give financial advice on all pension and investments in the UK. I set up Essential IFA in 2007 with the main aim of providing high quality independent financial advice that people could trust and most importantly understand. I hold a Diploma Level 5 in Investment Planning and have a current Statement of Professional Standing, which complies with the RDR regulations. I have over 18 years experience in financial services working in both Banks and Building Societies and have worked in most fields of financial planning including Business Banking which means I can provide both personal and business financial advice.

In January 2013, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) brought into force the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).
